The most interesting part of Rishop trip is that the village doesn’t have any motorable roads to tour around. The only way to explore its beauty is either you have to walk or trek to visit the tourist places in Rishop. Rishop is mostly famous for what the meaning of its name indicates – mountain peaks and forest. It indeed is an excellent point to experience the 360˚ view of the forest and Himalayan hills and peaks around.
Tiffindara is one of the most visited and most outstanding viewpoints to watch a sublime sunrise ans sunset. It is about 1 km distant from the village and gives opportunity to experience 360˚ view of the surrounding forest and hills. The breathtaking scenario of Mt Kanchenjunga is something to cherish forever.
Walking down from the village can take you to a temple which has strong religious importance to both Hindu and Buddhist people. While climbing up the staircase, you can notice statue of both Buddha and Shiva, built side by side.
Around 20 km away from the village of Rishop, there is another small village named Kolakham, which is quite favourite to village hikers or trekkers. You can even visit the Changey Waterfalls that is quite close to this settlement.
The famous national park of Neora Valley is actually easily accessible from Rishop village.
